The plan is to paint the dining room.
It involves removing wallpaper on the lower half of the walls.
I am the remover....David is the painter.
The dining room is hard because all of the china and glassware has to be lugged to the living room so the furniture pieces can be moved.
Today is Day #1
This is what we accomplished.

~ THE DINING ROOM IN THE LIVING ROOM ~
~ WHAT THE DINING ROOM LOOKED LIKE AT 5 PM ~
Pretty good for Day #1
I will return when the painting is completed and the carpet is cleaned.
I'm sure it will be beautiful.
For now....I'm going to take 2 Tylenol and get ready for bed.
Every muscle hurts.
I'm going to go to work tomorrow for the rest.
I think that I'm too old for the "crawling on the floor" part of redecorating.
'Night.

This sounds so familiar. I just told my husband that we are getting to old to be weekend warriors. It looks great. Smiles...Renee
Wow! You accomplished a ton of stuff today! No wonder you ache...poor thing!
I love the very full living room and I enjoyed enlarging the photos and peeking at your treasures. Love your pretty pink dishes ~ especially the sweet little S & P shakers! Your Christmas dishes are pretty too!
Are those little ant placecard holders? Whatever they are, they are too cute!
I also spy some tart pans...what craftiness is in store for them?
Get a good rest at work tomorrow! Can't wait to see more!
Joyce, that's a boatload of work! Isn't there a friend who could come over and help you lug stuff? You have so many dishes. I know it will be heavenly once it's done; please don't over do. Take care of you!!
That's a lot of work. I laugh at your title, Joyce. Me, too!!!
Big hugs,
Suz
Hi Joyce,
I noticed your new header/banner and photo right away! You are so sweet!
I could "shop" your living room!! Lots of vintage treasures!
Can't wait to see the after! Hope your back is better!
Very nice gifts from your friend!
Warmly,
deb :)
Impressive! Isn't it kind of fun to see all the little treasures that have been hiding in your dining room? At least it was that way for me. I found a lot of things I hadn't thought about for awhile when we painted my china cabinet last September. Oh and don't think you're getting away without me mentioning all that sweet depression glass. Very pretty! Good luck with your painting and once it's done and all put back together it will be so wonderful. Can't wait to see it!
Joyce, what a fun post! Peeking into your china cupboards is wonderful! What beautiful stemware. I really liked your stripped wall paper, but I know how it goes...... change is always a good thing! Enjoy you finished room! Elizabeth
Looks good so far. I'm sure it will look great once it's finished. You deserve a good rest now. Hope the tylenol helped.
Oh my goodness...I'm exhausted after reading this Post. Please don't overdo!!!
Your new profile pic is adorable!!!
Looking forward to seeing the "reveal", but take your time. : )
We are still in "construction/destruction/remodel/update" mode..and have been for a while. Seems whenever he gets done with one..or sometimes in the middle of one- he starts another!
Yours will look fabulous I have no doubt! Keep us up to date with photos!
Wow - you got a lot done in only one day! Did the wallpaper come off easy, or did you have to use water, etc. It really is looking nice!
