I am  sorry to be late posting this..

I pulled the winner's name on the 30th but didn't get back to the computer to

write about it because we had our grandsons with us for 3 days and the

computer I use is in the room they slept in.

I just finished this baby banner for my daughter"s friend...

It was fun to use just the dress part of the ruffled doll stamp for 

2 of the banner pieces...

I hope Miss Charlotte approves.

Where did she go?

Since the beginning of the year I was being so good about blogging on a regular basis and then I seemed to fall of the face of the earth. I'm fine...no really, I'm perfectly OK...just crazy busy with a bunch of commitments and getting ready for a Spring Craft Boutique on March 24th. I haven't been doing much visiting so I'm sorry if I've been neglectful with leaving comments..I've missed you all and I'll catch up soon. In the meantime, I thought I would show you some of what I've been working on...

picked up this little baker and made a bunch of Apple Cider donut holes for a church event, in addition to other assorted cakes and soup...

Right now, it's all about chicks and bunnies...

Of course I'll show you the completed projects, but for now....I'll get beck to my work room.

Finished Banner for Hannah and a card for a favorite pilot I know :D

I have finished the banner for baby Hannah

I wish I could figure out a way to photograph these banners hanging up without my deck furniture showing in the background...do I need to hang a sheet over the door?

I added a tiny button on the front. I really love the pink and brown color scheme.

Now the birthday card...

I'm really enjoying working in all digital.

The picture of the little boy (I found it on line but I don't remember where)

and even the background printed paper is digital!
I love layering and arranging the items...art without being able to draw or paint.
Anyway,  my pilot friend seemed to like it and since
he saved the card I made him last year, that qualified him for being "handmade card worthy".
You card makers know what I'm talking about *wink wink*.

This card was made using a very, very old publishing program from Microsoft
which isn't even around anymore. I have Photoshop Elements, I just need to download it. silly me!

I'm still working on some dining room decorating so I'll hold off showing any more pictures until there is more to show. We had a cook-out with my Book Group friends and the husbands on Saturday...had a fun time.
Tomorrow we (the Book Group girls) will be going to see The Help.

We read the book last fall and are anxious to see the movie adaptation. I just might wear a shirtwaist dress...and pearls!

From my work table.....

Good Morning....
I have been running around like a crazed person this week trying to finish up some assignments and getting caught up with house stuff (not so much fun but necessary). There are many things I want to show you but for now just a quick post to display a baby banner I just completed for a friend. It's been a while since I have featured something I've made so here it is...

My friend, Barb, asked me to make a name banner for her grandniece's Baptism. She requested pink and green as the color scheme...which is such an easy one to work with.

The flower and butterfly shapes are chipboard.

The scalloped circles were cut using Nestibilities dies.

The letters were made with my wonderful Cricut machine.

After I put it all together, I decided that the letters looked too plain. Using some Quickutz dies, I made the flowers & stems for the "L" and "h" and punched the butterflies for the "e" and "a" using a Martha Stewart punch. I used a marker to color the butterfly bodies and draw the antennas. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them for detail. Baby gifts are always fun to make and you know how I love banners!

Now....I must get busy and finish my assignment for Elizabeth's Halloween banner swap.

I am the "W" in Halloween.
