My word for 2009 was FOCUS...
In 2010 it was MANAGE....
Sitting in church yesterday I thought, "I have to chose a word that will inspire me and not set me up for failure." It came to me...."SIMPLIFY".
I need to SIMPLIFY things in various areas of my life...
Reorganize, eliminate and use-up come to mind....
If I SIMPLIFY things, I will have more time to create.....
Thanks to all of the Peppermint Girls and their amazing tags!!! |
And concentrate more on being healthier so I don't feel like this...
Courtesy of The Graphics Fairy Wish me luck with this commitment and I wish you the same with your One Little Word if you choose to participate. For more information, you can go to Ali Edward's blog here or here. I'll be back soon.... XOXO Joyce |

Good Luck Joyce, although I don't think you will need it! I haven't picked a word yet. I know I want to overcome procrastinating but I can't think of a good word to fit what I'm trying to achieve! Have a great week, hugs and blessings, Nan
Sounds like a wonderful choice! Thanks so much for paying me (my blog) a visit the other day! I think we would be great friends as well! Shoot! I think we are already on our way! I love all your projects! You can check out some of my recent projects at my other blog . . . http://camelliacottagedesigns.blogspot.com

You are kidding me! This is TOO funny!
Well, we will definitely have to be a cheerleader for one another won't we.
What fun to have Charlie and Miles over to visit...yes, you NEED more time to visit them.
Take care my friend...have a joy-filled new year!
I just noticed that you're already simplifying....your blog is "simply blue"!!
I like that word Joyce I just might have to steal it I think that if I practice that my life too would be oh so calming. Happy New Year!

Hi Joyce.
What a great word you have chosen this year. I also chose that as one of my words. I actually chose 3 words this year to cover the many areas of my life that I need help with this year.
Wishing you all the best for the New Year!
Hugs, Sharon
Oh, my Joyce. I love your new word. I could choose that one, too, in ALL areas of my life. I loved seeing all your word. It has been awhile. Your banners are lovely and your notebooks make me want to go out and buy a Zutter.
My new word is Hope. I am just clinging to hope in God, hope in medicine, hope in insurance coming through...so many things to hope for. I am also hoping to have fun and enjoy life with my sweet husband. This word choosing is a good thing, huh?
Hugs,
Suz
Joyce, It is so good so see your thumbnail photo when I am out about visiting. Please, please in your simplifying don't hesitate a moment about participating in anything on my blog. It's really all just to keep my busy mind busy and is a reason for me to make so many things! I wish you good health and simplicity in this New Year! Elizabeth
Every picture was a delight in this Post. Especially your two little "Misters". How precious!!!
I LOVE your new goals for 2011. I need to do the same. : )
xo,
Mary Lou
Simplify is a wonderful word...I need to do that myself. But my word for this year is FOCUS...I see you've been there a couple years ago. Wish me luck!
I think simplify is a great word for the new year. The projects you pictured were all wonderful. And your grandkids are absolutely adorable!!
Happy New Year.
Jane
Hi Joyce,
I had to laugh...I clicked on one of your desk photos to snoop---see, I admitted it! {I spy your tv remote there in front?!!!}
My Bible study leader challenged us to also selct a word or area of where we think the Lord may have us focus this year. I just couldn't do it....I guess I need to spend more time thinking about it....the word I wanted to use is "Thankfulness".....as in living every day as if it's Thanksgiving! We'll see if I stick to that word...'cuz I really don't want to move off of "JOY"!
Hugs, Heidi
SIMPLY is a great word...unfortunately right now there is no way I can do that (maybe in a few months). My word that I've chosen is CONTENTMENT. I need to begin reading, studying, and thinking about it. Wish me luck. Precious grandbabies!!!
What a perfect word you've chosen to "focus" on this year, Joyce! Such beautiful projects you've shared today--love them all!
Wishing you a wonderful night, my friend!
Julie
My word for 2011 is a phrase, "Faith not fear". It's the path to a more fulfilling life.
