Yesterday I visited my favorite thrift store. I hadn't been there for months and months and I was so excited! I found many things that would have been fun to repurpose but I exercised great restraint and only picked up a few things.
A wooden candlestick to be painted a creamy white and used for a plate stand...a rose platter that will be hung on the guest room wall with some others already there.
That giant jar is great (and only $4.95). I'm not sure what will go inside but the lid and knob will be painted for sure.
There are my finds of the day...what are you searching for that you didn't know you needed until you saw it?
Happy Thursday!
xoxo

I went to the thrift store yesterday too! Maybe someday we could go together!
The platters look pretty in your guest room...the new one will be a sweet addition.
Love the red polka dots!!
Joyce those jars are some of my favorites...I stuff everything in them from ornaments at Christmas to wooden childrens blocks and vintage game pieces year round....wonderful finds...smiles...Renee
oh I love that jar!! I can easily see the plate stand that you will make with the candle stick! Great finds!

Great finds lady!
I can't wait to see your re-do on them.
Gotta love a good find... or a few in your case. I love that jar. Can't wait to see what you do with it or put it in... if you are going to show us. :-)
BTW, I will try to take your advice about getting rest, but it will be hard. I work full time on top of having Elijah, Joe and the dog to take care of... But, like I said, I will try. :-)
Hi Joyce, Last moments before leaving for vacation. I hope you enjoy yours in Maryland! I am so thrilled to see you also enjoy the artist Moss. Such beautiful work! It is also fun to see you have a "pink" room as well. Crafty minds think alike! Elizabeth
Hello, Joyce!
I saw your pretty face over on my blog...and thought I would stop by your place. I love the things you make. Your little red birdie thank you cards are adorable!
Let's see...what did I need that I didn't know I needed? Well, Fashion Fabrics Club is having a sale this week...and they have Ralph Lauren lining fabrics for $1.99 a yard...regular $20.00! So, I bought 4 different colors...6 yards of each...along with some other fabric I "needed." The online pattern store is also having a sale...and so I bought 8 patterns that I've had my eye on. I'm gonna have a kickin' Fall wardrobe IF I can ever get out of the garden and back to the sewing machine!

Great goodies! Love the big jar. I have a similar one with attached metal lid that belonged to my husband's grandmother. The lid was ugly so spray painted it red. Now I keep the grandkids' snacks in there and they love it:)
