The class she taught was variations of this card design. These are the 3 cards we made.
I really enjoyed this class and knew that if I didn't make a card on my own as soon as I got home, I would forget the steps involved.
This is the card I created using Carolyn's directions.
The button card and buttons were made with a Paper Trey Ink stamp set found here. It's a great set and one I will use again and again I'm sure.
Now that I'm wielding a pair of scissors and have inky fingers and lots of new supplies....I have some swap commitments to fulfill, and a new swap to plan for with A Swap for all Seasons.
I'll be back soon with more to show!!
Hope your weekend is sunny and fun!
xoxo

PS While I was feeling in a card making mood....I made this one, too. I used my new Tim Holtz, Sizzix dress form die...how could I resist this die?
I just noticed that my followers have flown away...sure hope they come back!

Dear Joyce,
I was so excited to see you on my blog today! I hope you are feeling better and better. You have been through so much. Thanks for the nice words about Jud in his tux. he looked so nice. He is on a new chemo now and I am praying it will help. Love your cards. I am still thinking about a Sixxix die cut machine, though I did get the Cricut. I love the Tim Hotlz die. I am really getting into a lot of paper fun. It is still pretty new to me but kind of a nice break from jewelry.
Thanks for your kindness, from my very first days in blogland!
Hugs,
Suz
My goodness you've been busy!
I love all the cards you made...the one with the tiny chest of drawers is especially cute! But the dress form card is my favorite.
I keep reading about these Cricut and Sixxix and Cuttlebug machines and I've been thinking about asking my family to get me one for my birthday. I don't know much about them though. You and Diane Knott (she has the Cuttlebug) make such cute things using them. Maybe it's time to do a little research!
oh my! All of those cards are gorgeous Joyce! I love the accordion style! I never made a card like that but I think I will give a try!
Happy to read you and see that you're back in saddle... sort of!

You don't craft, Joyce. You truly create works of art! These are fabulous beyond words!
Hi Joy! Hope you are doing well! I saw the picture of your little cuties below and seeing your grandson made me think of my own son and the stitches he had to get over the years. He's 21 this week and, God love him, he had some angels watching over him, too, I think! I love the card you made with the dress form. I love the Tim Holtz stuff!
Hi Joyce,
Stunning cards all, but my favorite is the dress form card. Love it!

Oh, such eye-candy!!! What a great class. And I love the new stamp set and dress form!!
Happy creating, Joyce. : )

Cute cards! I love the accordion style. If I tried to make one it would probably look more like a tuba or something! But it would be "music" to someone's eyes! LOL You are SO good at card making. Lucky you to have a great teacher and shop nearby. Glad your "riding" again! Heehaw! (I'm humming the tune you mentioned...)
Hugs, Heidi
talking heehaw here.....BE SURE TO GO TO WWC blog today: Susan Branch!!!
