Is it too early to be thinking about this?

While cruising through Sam's Club last week, my eye spotted this...
I stopped short.....looked at the cover...threw it in my cart without even a second thought...
When I had a chance to sit and browse the pages....my heart started to beat fast and my palms became damp.....who wouldn't love these projects...really!

So the answer to the question in the title of this post is NO! When you participate in Craft Fairs, you should already be making things so you're not a crazy woman at the last minute. (Don't ask me how I know this....I just do!)
So here's a sneak peek at the start of my holiday crafting....

Back in November, I was lucky enough to win a $75 gift certificate for Amazon.com. I used my winnings toward the purchase of a Cricut Create die-cutting machine. It sat in the box from November to August without being used. At the urging of friends, I finally took it out of the box and started to play with it. The snowmen are my first creations. I am in love with them. These guys will be used for a banner. (I will post pictures of the completed project...for now I'm just having fun cutting and gluing!)

You know my love of paper dolls...do you see why I'm fulfilled with this project? So much fun to make!
Are you starting any early holiday.....Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...crafting?
It does help keep you cool when the temps are in the 90's!
xoxo
Joyce

I'm almost done with my holiday shopping, Joyce. I even began wrapping gifts this past week. It's never to early to think of Christmas. Never.

As I looked at your pictures, one in particular caught my fancy, and I instantly knew that I wanted make something similar. Not exactly the same, but just the sight of the pic was all the inspiration I needed! It's the picture of the crocheted flower/snowflake garland. Thanks for the inspiration - I'm off to start my garland! Becky G.

Darn, I was just at Sam's a couple of days ago! Will have to look for this - such cute ideas!
Your snowmen are charming! August seems like a good time to work on snowmen to me - thinking cool helps with the heat.

Now, your little snowmen are adorable! I know the finished banner will be too stinkin cute. Have a wonderful week, Nan

I try not to think about Christmas until Labor Day is over, but this year I got inspired by taking an Amuse Advent Calendar class in mid-July. Now I have a collection of adorable stamps and I'm ready to get them inked up.
I love yur snow people. They will make such a cute banner. So glad you are feeling like crafting again. Mary Kahler

Loooooove your little snowman buddies. Way to be ahead of the game.
You asked how I could stay disciplined about the candy...it's that Mother of the Bride dress sitting in my closet that MUST fit perfectly on the big day. : )

Joyce I went out and found this magazine all the way up in at the end of the road in Homer alaska !! I was thrilled they had it in our one supermarket in town!! Did you see those hangers with beads you make for Christmas ornaments? I could make cute sets of those for gifts and the pine cone tree with little felt balls. I can make that one real easy.

Oh, how happy to again see you here! I also had to grab that magazine (we are all cut out of the same mold) and must get it out again now because you have shown so many cute things! I think there is a holiday Stampington one coming out (which is like buying a book...but a VERY GOOD book!)

Love your snowmen, joyce. They are adorable. I am so happy you got to put the money toward a Cricut. A few years ago, my husband gave me a choice between a Cricut and a Slice and I so wish I had chosen the Cricut but such is life!

Again, I am smiling to see you back again!

Hugs,
Suz

Hi Joyce - I just love, love, love my Cricut. I play with it nearly every day! It just makes things so easy - but, I still like to cut out my own things, too and make them my own - but the Cricut is soooo cool. I was thinking of getting the snowman cartridge. After seeing you snowmen - I really want to get it! Have you a Gypsy? Oh - I just love having the Gypsy to go with my Cricut!
Hugs, Patti
