A Swap For All Seasons...my treats for sweet Marie

My treats for Marie, of Spun By Me, in the May swap for A Swap For All Seasons.. Marie is a dear, dear friend, and we have been partners in many swaps over the years. I was so happy that I was going to be able to create for her this month!

The card created with an image from my file (I think originally from Flickr)...

Using various border punches, I made layers of borders on the front, then added an over-sized flower, some rhinestone bling and a small tag.

The tag was made using a Julie Nutting Paper Doll stamp, embellished with some bling and a small rose.

The stash consisted of paper lace, ribbon, seam binding, and buttons and a big white silk flower.

The ribbon cards were printed and cut out from a free file found on Pinterest.

Another fun swap has ended but now there is another fun theme for the month of June...It's a Guy Thing!

A Swap For All Season-May. My gifts from Marti

The theme for the month of May, in A Swap For All Seasons monthly swap, was Weddings! It was a delightful theme! Each month, Linda, our fearless leader, reminds us that we need to make and send a card, a tag and some small bit of stash from our personal hoards collections.
This month, my "donor" was Marti of Artful Curiosities. (click her blog name to visit her blog) I sent a swap package to her back in February so were already  acquainted. She is a stellar artist and paper crafting genius as you will soon see!
The color for the destash this month was white or cream. Swoon!
This is the tag that Marti made. Please enlarge the photo and take note of the detail here..layering and stitching are Marti's calling cards. Beautiful work! The image, softly colored, is sweet and the doily and lace certainly enhance it.

I really wasn't prepared for the beauty of the card and I apologize for the fact that no mere photograph could show the exquisite details, but I'll try with several pictures. Again, please click on the photo to enlarge to see Marti's touches. Amazing!!
The dress is made entirely of paper. The bodice is sheet music pleated and folded and the body of the dress is tissue paper!! The trims of pearls and lace are the perfect embellishments, along with the tiny Paris tag! The hanger is stamped...clever!

Even the destash is fun...lots of baubles and ephemera to play with.

Thank you, Marti, for being a wonderful sender this month. I am awed by your talent and have learned a lot from reading your blog and seeing your creations!
Next is the May swap package I sent my dear friend Marie!

xoxo
