Miss Rhea's Easter Basket Swap

I recently had the pleasure of participating in a swap that callenged us to create an Easter basket from a lowly yogurt container.....after eating the yogurt of course. Everyone participating in this swap was assigned two partners and we had to design and create the Easter baskets and include 5 small gifts for our partners.
When I signed up for this swap I thought decorating a yogurt container sounded easy but it was quite a challenge for me. I'm not a sewer and I wanted to accomplish this challenge using my medium of choice...paper, which was interesting to work with on the slippery tapered yogurt containers. In the end, I was pleased with my results and absolutely thrilled with the baskets I received!

First up is Lynne of A Romantic Nest. Her basket for me was wonderfully cute and polka dottie...
I love paper flowers of any kind and Lynne gifted me with pink roses large and small. She also included some cute crafting supplies that will be fun to work with....

and the sweetest little felt blue bird...thanks Lynne, I love it all!

My basket for Lynne (who loves bunnies)...

My other partner was Heather of  Speckled-Egg and Speckled-Egg Store
Her Easter basket to me...covered with florists foil and trimmed out in vintagey beauty..

lots of supplies from her store to have fun with...
Thanks Heather, I really enjoyed being partners with you for the second time!

My basket for Heather....coffee anyone?

A combination of natural color and white coffee filters made a ruffley Easter basket. I trimmed it out with velvet ribbon and a vintage pearl clip earring
I made some paper flowers for Heather and die cut some birds, chick and bunnies...
Heather enjoys making jewelry so I included a vintage bakelite necklace thinking she might want to cut it apart and use the beads for her own projects.
If you hop right over to Rhea's Sweet and Shabby Roses blog, you will be able to find the links to all of the swap participants' blogs.
While at Rhea's, make sure you check out the baskets she received and the ones she sent...they are breath-taking! My thanks for Rhea for hosting this swap and giving us encouragement all the way. It was great to participate in this wonderful exchange!
To all of my dear friends and readers....
my sincere wishes for a
Blessed Easter!

I just found your blog and I love it. I signed up to follow you. I love all kinds of crafts but I have never tried tags before and would love to learn. I see there is a lot of tag swaps and monthly tags etc. I am going to read through your blog and try to learn how to do it.

Girl you did an awesome job on both of your baskets!! I hope you enjoyed your quiet Easter! One of my nephews was so wild on Easter and the kicker is that he had no chocolate cause he's allergic!!

Hugs!
