A New Week

It's a new week....
Our houseguests have gone....

Most of the Christmas is packed away. I have rearranged the trees and the snowmen...it is Winter after all.

The mantel has been redecorated with white candles and Swarovski crystal snowflakes...which are apparently hard to photograph...or maybe it's the photographer!

I cleaned out and reorganized my spice cabinet.

Some out of date spices were tossed but the bottles were washed and will be used for some swaps .....they are great for buttons, glitter and doodads!

My Marjolein Bastin winter ornaments have taken their place on the windowsill in the kitchen. I like the realism in her pieces...

I love African violets blooming in the Winter...

Tomorrow I go to work......it's a new week.
I'm gathering lots of inspirational ideas and provisions for the two Valentine swaps I'm involved in. I will start working on them this weekend.
GOOD NEWS HERE! We just found out that this guy is coming to see us for Valentine's Day! YAY!

Stay warm my friends.....

Oh Joyce your house looks so pretty!!! I love the way your mantel looks with the white candles and snowflakes. Mine is so bare since I took away all the Christmas decorations. I just needed some inspiration--I think I found it :)
What a wonderful Valentine surprise for you and David. I can't think of a better way to spend it then with your sweet little cherub---who by the way is getting so grown up. Such a little man.
Stay warm my friend

My goodness! Who is that handsome boy? Charlie is such a doll. Those eyes...that grin!

I love all the wintery touches in your home ~ especially that wondowsill. I love her pieces! And no matter how toasty warm you keep it on the inside, none of that wintery snow will melt!

Stay warm!

Love your rearranging of decorations. I'm still fondly stuck on your mantlepiece. How I love a fireplace! Glad to see the little light of your life will be part of your Valentines gift. What better gift than him :)

Hi Joy! Your decor is wonderful! I love the idea of keeping the "winter neutral" snowmen out for the entire season...mine will be out until March!

Your crystal snowflakes are gorgeous, and Marjolein Bastin is my favorite artist! I have lots of her winter home decor and ornies too!

I don't know about you, but it was tough getting back to work after being off over the holiday...I just love lazily lounging through my day, crafting, drinking tea, and reading!

What a gorgeous little guy coming to visit! I'm sure he's your favorite heart throb!

What a cheerful post today. You had me on the comfy looking bed. It looks like nap time to me after all the work you have been doing. Or maybe just sit back and fill those fun jars up with goodies.

Enjoy your next guest... I would. He looks like a ton of fun.
