In the meadow we can build....

I wanted to share my new Christmas wreath with you. Actually, this one will probably stay up all winter. I was so happy when I opened the box from Deb at Say It With Letters and saw this wreath shape!

So many ideas came to mind.
My first plan was to make a variation of the famous Martha Stewart clothespin wreath...

I covered the wreath shape with my favorite ledger paper...

but I could not for the life of me figure out a pleasing pattern for the clothespin placement!
I finally decided to wipe the slate clean and start over.
This meant recovering the wreath shape and then decorating with
SNOW PEOPLE!!!
Wonderfully fun snow people!

The little song line was done on the computer and trimmed with a digital cardinal.
The snow folks were made with the Cricut (of course) and are from a cartridge called Snow Friends which, I'm afraid, is out of production. Some punched glittered snowflakes were the final touch.
Sometimes re-thinking a project and changing the plan can be a good thing.
Please take time to skip over to Deb's blog and see the beautiful creations for the other design team members. You will come away inspired!

xoxo

Joyce, Your new blog header and your wreath are adorable. Love your cute little snowpeople! The days go so quickly this time of year, I don't know how I'll get everything done. Guess I'll just lower my expectations!

Hi Joyce!

Your little wreath is SO CUTE...love the snow people! Personally, I think it's much nicer than Martha's wreath. Please don't tell her...I'm sure she'd be devastated.

I have lots of things that I leave out all Winter. After the holidays, Winter can be kinda blah...and looking at my pretty things cheers me up!

I love the little snow people and I must admit that I like what you did better than the clothespin wreath. It looks very homey.

BTW, could you email me at Jo21236(at)yahoo(.com)? It's regarding pricing for a banner I was wondering if you would be able to make for Elijah's birthday. Thanks!

Joyce - this wreath is adorable. I love that it will last long past Christmas. The little snowflakes add just the right amount of "a little extra soemthin"!
So glad you went with the second plan.

PS. LOVE the ledger paper on the back!!
