Up to my eyeballs in...

Banners and Garlands!
I am frantically trying to make up for lost time in getting ready for our big craft fair in 3 (YIKES!) weeks. I decided to start with banner making because they are fun and I can design and cut during the day and then glue at night while we watch  Mad Men, Dancing With the Stars or The Good Wife some good educational programming on our local PBS station. I am just throwing some pictures out there so you can see what I've been "up to" and know why I haven't been visiting my favorite blogs as much as I'd like. These banners are not complete but they're on their way.....

I've done a number of Thanksgiving and Fall themed banners

Celebration banners for lots of different occasions...
Some that are just general in theme...
Here is one that I've cut the banner pieces for but I'm not sure what it should say...Bloom? Grow? Maybe nothing at all...what do you think? I love this Anna Griffin paper...it's very vintage looking.
I have about 14 in some degree of assemblage at this point and now I'm starting
 on some Christmas themed ones.

Dinners have been quick-to-fix meals (David is a saint!) and cleaning consists of sweeping the rooms with a glance...some day I will catch up with everything but for now...cut and glue is my game.
I'm open to any suggestions for banner titles or 15 minute recipes!
xoxo
Joyce

I just love banners and paper garlands lately, and your examples are some of the most charming I've seen! That Anna Griffin paper looks just like vintage wallpaper, which I love.....

Hi Aunt Joyce!
Loving your work, as always, and looking forward to seeing you soon! Here is an easy-peasy supper for you: Pilgrim Salad...a bed of salad greens-from-a-sack, topped with shredded carrots, toasted pecans, craisins, sliced tart apple, roasted turkey strips (from deli or refrigerated section), raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Dinner's done!

I was told at Michaels that you couldn't sell anything made with a Cricut.

hi joyce,

i am imagining you snipping away (and munching on pretzel m&ms) with the TV on. bliss!

your banners are so fun and cheerful. hmmm ... how about something like "cottage"! too niche? i am busy making things for a school bazaar in december. the table fee was $30! i'll have to sell a zillion things to make that back and maybe even buy a hot dog while i'm there! it's all fun though ... right? LOL

happy munchin' and snippin'!

Dear Joyce,
These are just wonderful. Do take it easy, though. I wish I could come and give you some cutting help! How are you feeling?

Hi Joyce! Your banners are wonderful! What a great variety. The one with the AG papers reminds me of something very peaceful, maybe solitude? Create? LOL, sweeping the room with a glance, that's ME! Thanks for stopping by my blog and always leaving such nice comments, blessings, Nan
PS: I hope the person that made the anon comment is trying to be helpful and not rain on your parade! People sell things all over the place made with the Cricut, how could this be so? Maybe you can't sell items made with licensed images like Disney but plain old letters?

You are the banner Queen :) These banners are wonderful and they are sure to sell. When you sell out on Friday night you can direct customers to my table on Saturday :)
