Back from Vacation!

Hi All,
We are back from our nice, long vacation at the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
I have lots to share with you but for now I have only one question...
Am I late to the party with this...

BISCOFF!
It's a spread but it's not a nut butter.
It comes in creamy and crunchy...I chose creamy.

I've read many bloggers professing love for this and I had never had it.
Yesterday, while at my local grocery store, I spied it on the shelf.
I decided to buy a jar and see what all of the hullabaloo was about.
OH MY STARS!
Is this stuff legal?
My fist taste was just a smidge on a spoon.
Then I tried a little on a Honeycrisp apple...
today on a low-fat, stale graham cracker.

YUM!
Is it good for you...of course not, but eaten in smallish
amounts I don't think it can do any much harm.
No nuts are involved in the making of this product.
It's made with Biscoff cookies
(do they pulverize 'em?),
oil and soy.
Now I love peanut butter but this is running a very close second.
Have you ever tried it?

Treats from Hagerstown, MD and Lucketts, VA

In June, on our way to visit the boys, we stopped in Hagerstown at this nifty antique place...

I found some good buys...lots of wonderful things to see here...

a new addition to my white planter collection, beach photo and crochet cotton
vintage ice cream cartons
(might be the start of a new collection)

After our babysitting weekend,
David took me to  Lucketts to
meet my friend Michele for some girl time...translate: SHOPPING.
He dropped me off at Lucketts and then went off to kill some time on his own..
he's great like that!

we also had to go in to The Beekeeper's Cottage...

We had fun at both places and I found some more treats...
on SALE...

($6!!)

2 more planters for my collection
($3 each!!!!)
not on sale but loving them anyway...

a long-coveted locker basket...

The keyhole plaque is not new but I thought it would be great in a wall arrangement...

I love cloches...this wire one is real cute...

At lunch in Leesburg, Michele and I exchanged little handmades...
she made me these lovely butterflies...

So much fun on this trip...the boys, my friend Michele
and new treasures!

End of Summer...the Mantel and A Visit From The Boys!

Before we're are on to raking leaves and such, I thought I would share some last summer photos...

The summer mantel & shelves...

pretty much the same as last year with a few new additions...

I found a box of all white shells at Target this year.

beach glass in a champagne flute

I purchased this wonderful old photo at an antique shop in Maryland

I've decided to use my new/vintage truck year round
(does anyone know where I can find tiny pumpkins...
I've looked at our local Joann's and Michael's with no luck!)
My favorite vintage image...

Last weekend, we picked up the boys to spend a weekend with Papa & Bam (that's us)
We had lots of fun...
helping Papa wash the car

hanging around...

driving

sliding...

waiting...

just having a good time...

It was over too quickly!
We were exhausted but cherish the memories!
This is all that was left on Monday...

Be back soon...

Blog Candy Winner and some New Paper Doll Projects!

I am  sorry to be late posting this..
I pulled the winner's name on the 30th but didn't get back to the computer to
write about it because we had our grandsons with us for 3 days and the
computer I use is in the room they slept in.
Anyway....the winner of the Blog Candy is...
Paulette of ParkNSlide!
Congratulations to Paulette and to all of the winners from
all of the Blog Hop Teams!
I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the readers who
left kind and thoughtful comments and really enjoyed hopping along with us.
I am so happy to have met and corresponded with many of you.
You are all winners in my book!
Another BIG thank you to Diane of Nellie's Nest for
being the organizer, leader and motivator for this Hop!
I'd hop with Diane and all of the other designers any time!

I thought I'd share a few more paper doll projects with you...
I just finished this baby banner for my daughter"s friend...

It was fun to use just the dress part of the ruffled doll stamp for
2 of the banner pieces...

I hope Miss Charlotte approves.

A birthday project for my dear friend Marie

and the very first Prima paper doll project...a Birthday card for my local friend Jacqueline...

Don't you love using the chiffon roses?

OK friends...that wraps up this Paper Doll Blog Hop.

I'll be back soon with more ramblings...

xoxo
